Comment from Marilyn Lucas: Mr. Sample must have been going to a fellow Orangeman's service, who had died. The badge was reversed to black in memoriam for that. The Orange side for parades, meetings etc. Glenn Sample lives in Montague. Lila McGonegal (Sample) & Fred Sample live in Smiths Falls. Their parents were Willard & Isobel Sample, I believe. They may be related. Orange Lodge 190 was near where Glenn & Vivian Sample live in Montague.
